Guernsey, Channel Islands

After me and my friend Helen visited Jersey in 2012, we decided we just have to visit Guernsey as well.  In March we hopped on that very short flight and discovered another charming corner of the Channel Islands.  I would suggest to wait till summer time to visit.  The week before we arrived, they had the most snow they've had in absolute ages.  Most of the touristy things were still closed, and there wasn't that much to do.

One of our absolute favourite things was The Little Chapel.  "A work of art and a labour of love, the Little Chapel is possibly the smallest chapel in the world. It was built by Brother Déodat who started work in March 1914. His plan was to create a miniature version of the famous grotto and basilica at Lourdes in France. The Little Chapel is beautifully decorated with seashells, pebbles and colourful pieces of broken china."

As almost everything was still shut, what did we do?  We relaxed. :-) Hope you enjoy the photos.
